There is a dedicated duty doctor and nurse available every day to attend to acutely sick patients that are enrolled with us. These appointments are for emergencies only. Please phone Reception or a nurse.
For medical advice after hours you will be redirected to a triage service and answered by a qualified nurse. The nurse will discuss treatment options and point you in the right direction for the care you need.

As we get closer to Christmas and the summer holiday period, Katikati Medical Centre wants to communicate with you about the increased pressures we face during this period. Each year, we work hard to provide quality care to our patients. However, during this time, we experience a significant surge in demand whilst also operating with reduced appointment availability as staff take some well deserved leave.
To help manage this period:
If you are due a medication review or a repeat prescription during the period of 16th December to 20th January 25, we ask that you book your appointment now for that time period, or that you send in your prescription request early so your doctor can action it. We encourage you to plan ahead for any non-urgent health concerns.
Our focus will be on providing essential medical services to our existing patients. Due to the high volume of patients we see, we are not able to accommodate unregistered patients or visitors to the area. The only exceptions to this policy are:
Family members of registered patients
Children 5 years and under
Life or limb threatening emergency
