Information discussed with your healthcare professional is confidential. However, on rare occasions where there are serious concerns for the safety of a child, by law we are obliged to share this information with services that will help, such as Oranga Tamariki or the Police. Only relevant information is shared.

We are very aware of the negative impact family violence has on women and children; therefore, during your consult with Nurses or Doctors you may be asked about possible violence within the home.
